End of an era
March 18th, 2009 by Johnathan

Roger Johnson has formally resigned as Agriculture Commissioner, after Dem-NPLers had held the post for 20 years.  Governor Hoeven is widely expected to announce a Republican replacement; this would bring every statewide office under GOP control.

Wayne Sanstead is a Democrat. He is elected on the no-party ballot, but for statewide offices, the no-party ballot is a bit of a joke. Wayne was a Democratic state legislator and lieutenant governor before he was elected to be superintendent of public instruction.
