The legislature is considering a measure, HB 1471, to allow candidates for non-partisan offices five words on the ballot to explain themselves.

Now, I’ve always been a fan of placing voter information in our polling places come election day — in the form of say, a printed or online voter’s guide. But this measure doesn’t do much for actually informing the voter.
