Recently, a de-armed Minuteman III missile was tipped over into a ditch near Minot AFB while being hauled around for routine maintenance. This in and of itself is nothing to be alarmed about.

In and of itself.   But this follows launch crews falling asleep while holding our missile codes, after guards in charge or protecting our nuclear arsenal were found distracting themselves with iPods and cell phones, and of course, after six nukes were flown all the way to Louisiana without anybody noticing.

This is not building up to anything positive. Get these bombs out of North Dakota before one goes off by accident, before some terrorist slips in and steals one.   Seriously, what’s the point having them around still, 15 years after the Cold War? Put that plutonium in a power reactor, that’s what our country needs right now for its strategic security.
