Good idea, Bad idea
November 12th, 2007 by Johnathan

Good idea: Ridding elections of the precinct limitations that cause confused voters to show up at the wrong place, then go home in frustration. Bad idea: Closing half of the old precinct voting sites while implementing the plan.

Cass County’s plan to overhaul voting represents two steps forward and one step back for the democratic system. It makes the voting process simpler, at the cost of having to travel farther to do it.

We could do like they do in part of Colorado:

But I personally prefer a system like in Oregon where everyone uses absentee ballot and you only need to make sure you are register at your current address.
